Kwek kwek (JUMBO SIYA SIS!)

Street food at HOME?

This super easy recipe is really perfect if you need an easy merienda or are just craving some street food.

The ingredients are just simple, you can find them inside your kitchens. You can even customize it to any color you want! They are bigger than your normal-sized Kwek kwek.

And pair it also with a homemade MANONG FISHBALL SAUCE.

You can make it fresh, unlike the ones that are sold on the streets. Maybe they are just reused eggs, they just roll it on the batter again to make it "bagong luto" again. You can tell if it's old, sometimes the actual egg white is quite hard than normal hard-boiled eggs.

SUS RIGHT? So just make it yourselves. The ingredients and the actual procedure are really simple.

The batter is just a combination of flour, cornstarch, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and food coloring. If you don't have a food color just leave white and colorless.

But it is weird to eat a white Kwek kwek, so just color it with any color you want or what color is available. I actually made a blue Kwek kwek once, it's weird.

BTW it is still your choice, if you have quail eggs available go ahead use them.

But since I like big Kwek kwek (mostly for the skin), I used normal-sized eggs.
